According to Prof. Dr Ir. Oto Soemarwoto, Global warming is the rise
in temperature of the earth's surface due to the increase in the intensity of
the greenhouse effect (ERK). While the greenhouse effect has an idea, is a
process, in which the radiation emitted by the sun to the earth, and re-emitted
by the earth, but is absorbed by certain gases, so basically ERK serves to
maintain the temperature of the earth to keep warm. Relation to the notion of
global warming is due to increased human activity, which produces a wide range
of particles and gas - gas which wasted freely, has sparked a rise in
temperature of the earth.
Menurut Prof. Dr. Ir. Oto Soemarwoto, pemanasan Global adalah naiknya
suhu permukaan bumi karena naiknya intensitas efek rumah kaca (ERK). Sedangkan
efek rumah kaca mempunyai pengertian, adalah suatu proses, dimana radiasi yang
dipancarkan oleh matahari ke bumi, dan dipancarkan kembali oleh bumi, namun
terserap oleh gas tertentu, sehingga pada dasarnya ERK berfungsi menjaga suhu
bumi agar tetap hangat. Kaitannya dengan pengertian pemanasan global adalah,
karena meningkatnya aktivitas manusia, yang menghasilkan berbagai partikel dan
gas – gas yang terbuang secara bebas, telah memicu naiknya suhu bumi.
